It must go through an environment!" If you ever travel by plane, you know that it takes longer to fly west than it does to fly east. This is because flying west, you are flying into a headwind. It takes around 20% longer to fly west than it does to fly east. In finance, all costs (now and in the future) create a financial headwind.
