Back in 2017, we awarded "Raiders of The Lost Ark" a perfect wipe score. The magical combination of Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg, Lawrence Kasdan, and Karen Allen was irresistible and timeless. But change the writing, change the villains, and change the lead lady, and you wind up with a very different movie in the 1984 prequel—one with xenophobia, ridiculous physics, bloated scenes, and a very different Indy. Missteps aside, "Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom" remains a classic with its action sequences, creative set design, quotable lines, lovable characters, and that ultra-fun mine cart escape. Plus, the organ removal, child slavery, and gratuitous body count basically led to the invention of PG-13 Movies.
