Practice falling asleep during pregnancy using this delightful JSJ energy flow. In Jin Shin Jyutsu, called the Spleen Function Energy Flow, this flow helps support our reproductive functions and helps relieve us of pregnancy insomnia (among other things as well). I use this flow all throughout pregnancy (both right and left flow) to help assist myself to sleep. During pregnancy, we have to be very careful in what we consume for insomnia relief. Some women are used to consuming substances that they are now told to stay away from (such as Xanax, Ativan, alcohol, marijuana, etc...) Instead of a substance after a long day, use this flow to help your body ease into a blissful night's sleep. I find that the first two steps of this flow help me release stress and strain from the day. And immediately when I settle into the next position (after moving my hand from tailbone to beneath my ribcage) I can feel my body and mind let go, and then I feel somewhat of a sinking, relaxing sensation, and this feeling always helps me drift right to sleep. This two-part meditation series was created to help support our heart function energy flow. These two particular JSJ self-help holds will help calm a very strong and fast heartbeat. This pregnancy meditation supports our hearts physically, mentally, and emotionally. These self-help holds also bring vitality to our lungs and entire chest area, open our hearts, and help calm and steady our hearts. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/pregnancyjsjmeditations/support
During pregnancy, supporting our hearts physically, mentally, and emotionally can offer huge benefits to you and your growing baby. No need to spend hours in visualization meditations if you're more word-based in your mental space like me. Connect with your inner soul, your heart space, and instantly feel connected with your own growing baby all the time. During these meditations where old emotions and possibly intense emotions may rise, I like to leave the baby out of communication in this process because these meditations are focused on the mom and giving all the attention to the mother and her body, mind, and soul. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/pregnancyjsjmeditations/support
In this spontaneous JSJ guided meditation, I practice 3 self-help holds to assist me out of an anxiety attack. When pregnant, anxiety and anxiety attacks can feel debilitating; whether it's from increased fatigue, exhaustion, changing hormones, environment, etc, sometimes it feels like just all too much to handle. Although infrequent, I still have an occasional anxiety attack, and most of the time, I am able to process and shift out of it easily even though it's not fun. These three holds was just spontaneous decision. There are many holds to help yourself during anxiety/panic attacks. The holds we practice today help us to ground, allows for adaptation, encourages movement, and centers our soul, and stills our minds and bodies. Today, I start with finding a safe place, then accepting the feelings, then shifting thoughts, then realigning with thoughts more beneficial and positive. Watch a transformation from an anxiety attack to calm and ready for the next step in my day. I didn't purposely leave baby out of this episode (usually I reference or talk about growing baby during the episodes), however, I would have added near the end of the meditation something like this message to baby: "I love you so much baby. This anxiety attack that you may have felt has nothing to do with you. Even if you think it is, even if I think it is, truly, it's not. These are my feelings and my emotions, and you, my sweet baby, don't need to worry about it or take these emotions on in any way." I considered not publishing this episode. Mostly because I wasn't sure about being so vulnerable. But, I'm here to be real after all, so publishing this episode made sense even if it just helps one person! I edited this episode heavily, and I would love all feedback, as it helps guide me to build and create episode by episode. Being pregnant is hard! I'm so glad I have JSJ, meditation, and a whole bag of other tools to help me along the way. What an insane journey this is: the journey into motherhood. There are no words to describe the intense emotions I have felt and continue to feel during this time. I don't know how I might be acting and what would fill my thoughts during this transition time if I hadn't begun my healing journey long ago. In this spontaneous JSJ guided meditation, I practice what is called the self-help 10 flow. These holds revitalize 10 out of our 12 organ function energy flows. These holds also increase our respiratory function which helps us breathe and brings harmony to our entire system. During pregnancy, our bodies work very hard to build and create life within us. This hold helps aid our bodies (organs in particular) back into a state of balance and harmony. Pregnant women suffer from many physical ailments during pregnancy. I used JSJ to balance and harmonize myself throughout pregnancy, and I was able to alleviate myself of the most common pregnancy symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, backaches, swelling, cramping, depression, fetal problems, gestational diabetes, high or low blood pressure, placenta previa, preterm labor, and more. This meditation is great for balancing our physical bodies (yes, this includes hormones!). If you enjoy this show, please consider one of the following ways to ...
Practicing this simple JSJ self-care hold can be very beneficial during pregnancy. In this episode, I teach pregnant women a simple hand placement they can do to help revitalize and support their reproductive system. We set a focus and intention on exploring transformation into motherhood and releasing resistance to this transformation into motherhood. Relax, and let go of stress and tension in this guided meditation created for pregnant women around the world. It's amazing to me how we can revitalize all the functions that take place within our reproductive system with a simple placement of our hands. And within this transformation into motherhood meditation, we disentangle from feelings of resistance physically, mentally, and emotionally. We realign with feelings of strength, courage, confidence, creativity, intuitiveness, fluidity, flexibility, ease, and grace. Use this guided meditation anytime during motherhood to help you feel more balanced, calm, and stress-free. Earlier this week, coming to this particular JSJ self-care hold because I found myself transforming into a different stage in motherhood. Now I have a 3-year-old and 10 month old; things are changing, within all 3 of us, and within the rest of the family that’s involved with us too. There’s transformation happening all around me during this time of motherhood. So when I can take time to practice holding my safety energy lock 17 as well as my ring finger, I can find peace, I can find so much peace. And I might even hold these spots standing in line at the grocery store or when I’m sitting in line anywhere with a free hand. And coming right to that wrist hold, it calms my entire nervous system. That's one of the other benefits of this hold. To calm your nervous system. In this spontaneous JSJ guided meditation, I practice what’s called the self-help 26 hold (giving yourself a hug). This hold, along with the emotional freedom techniques used during this episode, helps me detach from over-analyzing my thoughts and relieve mental stress when pregnant. On a physical level, this JSJ hold helps to relieve physical stress, depression, and anxiety. It also helps balance our endocrine system (think hormones and reproductive system!) which is such an important system when pregnant. This hold helps me relax into a state of “being” rather than “doing”. I can get so caught up in trying too hard to "do things", that I'm creating anxiety and emotional stress. So, I take a moment to “hug” myself and focus on truths, my breath, and my baby. I let go for a time to help my mind and body relax. And invite my body and growing baby into my parasympathetic mode during this meditation rather than sympathetic mode. Using guided meditation during pregnancy can suppo...
In today's pregnancy JSJ meditation, I practice the JSJ flow called the stomach function energy flow. This is a JSJ flow that helps us digest all things both physically and emotionally. This meditation focuses on our breath and connects our breath with our baby belly in a unique visualization. Breath relaxation techniques can be so helpful during pregnancy. Release pregnancy anxiety, worry, and stress with this JSJ self-care hold. When we connect a full and complete exhalation with these self-care holds, we feel more grounded in our bodies, and more connected with baby. I would also practice this many nights before sleep while pregnant to help with pregnancy heartburn as well. We can release anxiety quickly with our breath very easily.
