Our guest (who will have their voice altered and will be referred to simply as Jane) has a story that begins in Halifax, Nova Scotia, back when she was just 14 years old. A chance encounter at a bus stop led her through experiences she is very fortunate to have survived. In this episode of Nighttime, I'm again joined by Jane Doe to continue our discussion surrounding child sex trafficking, survival, and justice. I only need to walk a block or two in any direction from my home to see a poster pleading for information related to the disappearance of 16 year old Devon Marsman. Devon was last seen in late February of 2022, and since then there has been little in the way of reliable details, tips, or sightings. The most significant thing those searching for him have learned is that Devon seemed to have maintained two separate sets of personal relationships. One group his parents knew about and another group they didn't. As you may have guessed it’s the later group are the people Devon spend his last known days with... and their ever evolving stories have done nothing but obscure the trail left behind. In this episode of Nighttime we meet Theresa Gray, Devon's mom, and discuss the unexplained disappearance of her 16 year old son Devon Marsman. London, Ontario - Oct 13, 1983 17-year-old Donna-Jean Awcock was babysitting a neighbour's child in the apartment building next door to where she lived… Something she did regularly. When the child's mother returned home, in the early morning hours, she asked Donna run across the street to a convenience store before she left. This visit to the store which was only a stones throw away from her home is the last time Donna was seen alive. A gruesome discovery at a riverbank in the days later would explain what happened to her... but not who was responsible. The murder has remained unsolved for nearly 40 years, but not due to lack of trying. Donna's old sister Tammy has made it her life's mission to bring the person or persons responsible for Donna's death to justice. In this episode of Nighttime, I'll be joined by Tammy Dennett, to discuss the still unsolved murder of her little sister Donna-Jean Awcock Episode Links: Justice for Donna Awcock facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/gr...
