Conversation with Australian film director, Philippa Bateman about the feature length documentary 'Wash my Soul in the River's Flow' about the legendary concert Kura Tungar (Songs from the River), which premiered in 2004 and was a collaboration between Australian First Nations singer-songwriters Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter, and the 22-piece Australian Art Orchestra, headed by Paul Gabrowsky. This concert is a subject of Bateman’s documentary which goes behind the scenes of the concert’s creation, interspersed with personal reflections and interviews that contextualise this beautiful music.
