On today's episode, I had the wonderful opportunity to speak with Kayleigh Kozak and her husband, Kelsey. After reporting her abuser at the age of 14, Kayleigh thought that horrific chapter of her life was over and done with until, ten years later, she was notified that her abuser was trying to get his lifetime probation rescinded. After being forced to face the man who had abused her as a child in court, a fire was ignited within her, and she began the process of writing "Kayleigh's Law" into the statutes. Kayleigh's Law protects victims by ensuring they never have to face the person who harmed them ever again. Kayleigh and I could have spoken for hours.
