Toyota Mirai and Horizon Educational combined resources to inspire young scientists by bringing The Hydrogen Horizon Automotive Challenge to high schools in Los Angeles and Orange County in California. This program challenges students to look at climate change and experiment with renewable energy sources to understand their impact and feasibility. Their research is put into action when each high school team designs and builds their own one-to-ten scale model remote controlled fuel cell cars, then participates in a 4-hour race at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
